Hometown Hero Flier
Harris Lowry Manton- a law firm based out of Savannah and Atlanta Georgia, sponsors the Hometown Hero segment at Savannah Ghost Pirates hockey games. I was commissioned to create a small flier that can be given out to veterans and active service members.
The first draft was a basic design of a helmet with a salute as well as requested text and the law firm's logo. It included a variety of color combinations that the client could choose from. After deciding on a layout, a background pattern was created using the seals of the military. These early versions utilized a bright green color to match the Ghost Pirates colors. This was later changed to a military green, as well making the background less noisy.
One final change was made to add fingers to the hand, as some people mentioned they didn't realize what it was meant to be at first. This became the final version. The pattern in the background is created from monochrome versions of the seals representing the six branches of the military.
